After graduating in 1974 from Harding University, Gary Chamblee became a
Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He has served as owner, general manager, chief
financial officer, or chief executive officer for successful companies in Georgia,
Alabama, and Texas.

Gary has been actively involved in working with ministry related not-for profit
organizations for over 30 years. As a senior partner in Phillips Consulting, he traveled
throughout the world to assist organizations in operations, marketing, financing and
fundraising. With a passion for synergistic works, Gary has assisted in mergers and
reorganizations of ministries to promote better stewardship of resources.

Gary has worked with organizations such as Healing Hands International, Health
Talents International, Missions Resource Network and the Commission Against
Diseases of Poverty. He has served as a member of the Board of the Shumard
Foundation and currently serves as consultant to the Foundation.
​
As a consultant to the Shumard family and foundation, Gary has invested over
$100,000,000 in various projects. These investments have been highly diversified with
an early interest in the real-estate market purchasing distressed assets and
repositioning them. Other investments involve the recapitalization of small businesses
and marketable securities.
He is on the President’s Council of Harding University, is a member of the
Greater Atlanta Christian Foundation Board and served as an Elder of the North Atlanta
Church. Gary and his wife have three grown children and eight grandchildren.
